I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to review this Rose and Camellia Cleansing Melt* from Botanicals as I am loving using cleansing balms at the moment and am keen to try as many as possible.

Botanicals is an award winning (Best Free From Brand 2014), UK company which uses only 100% natural/organic ingredients with no water or fillers. You can find out more about Botanicals here.

I have been using this every evening for a few weeks now and my skin is loving it!  The balm comes in a jar and is in a fairly solid form.  You only need a small amount to cleanse your whole face effectively.

To use, I warm the balm between my fingers slightly before massaging onto my face.  The balm feels incredibly soft and has a subtle scent of roses.  After removing with a warm, damp, muslin cloth, it leaves my skin clean, but also well moisturised.  Like with other balms I have used, I do loosen my eye make-up first by massaging Bloom Remedies Organic Rose Eye Make-up Remover onto my lids and lashes, but will happily take this balm over my eyes too.  It causes no stinging or irritation to my eyes at all.

This is suitable for all skin types, but especially dry or mature.

I would happily repurchase this again (well, I know I didn’t actually buy this, but you know what I mean!). You can buy this from for £19.95.  The generous 55g jar should last 10/12 weeks.

You can also buy this as part of the ‘Nourish My Skin’ trio (£29.50) which includes a 25g Cleansing Melt, 25g Facial Polish and a 10ml Anti-ageing Facial Serum.   These sets are great for trying out products before committing to full sized versions.
