My favourite part of doing my (or other people’s) make-up is the skin. I love creating a fresh, natural look and like to still be able to see ‘skin’ when using a foundation.
I have been using these this Narcissist Foundation Stick (£32) from W3LL People for a while now and is the one I have been reaching for over the past few months.
There are lots of things I like about this foundation. Shade 2 is the perfect colour match for my skin. It gives a lovely satin finish. It is great to use when travelling. You can build up the coverage if needed. Oh, and of course, is made with natural and (60%) organic ingredients (see below)!
Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Oil*, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Cera Alba (Beeswax)*, Silica, Castor Isostearate Beeswax Succi- nate **, Mica (CI 77019), Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil (and) Aloe Barbadenis (Aloe) Extract, Lysine, Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E), Pro- prietary Essential Oil blend, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea)*, Roman Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile)** [+/-: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, 77492, 77499)] *Certified Organic, **Eco-cert
I did love the Vapour Organic Beauty Atmosphere Soft Focus Foundation, but this W3LL People foundation stick has been the one I have been using for a couple of months now (although I am rather liking the Green People’s Tinted Moisturiser at the moment too).
To use the foundation stick I tend to warm it slightly on the back of my hand as it can drag a little on the skin (although, I do feel this does waste a little of the product), then apply to my T-zone. It melts into the skin and does a great job at evening out any imperfections, without looking heavy at all.
If I want a more ‘polished’ look, I finish off with the Altruist Mineral Foundation, which, if I’m honest, took me a little while to warm to, but is something I would consider repurchasing now. This is the combination I would use if I was creating an evening look.
Although I like to try new products, I’m pretty sure that I’ll keep a Narcissist Foundation Stick in my make-up kit. It works really well on my normal/dry, mature(ing!) skin.
