Regular readers of my blog will know that I am a big fan of Myroo skincare products – the Starflower & Orange Blossom Cleanser and the Starflower & Orange Blossom Skin Boost Facial Serum having a regular spot in my bathroom.

Myroo has recently had a makeover and now is the UK’s first totally free from skincare brand. All of their products are handmade in Yorkshire in small batches using plant based ingredients

I love when a favourite brand brings out a new product, so I was delighted to be sent this Raspberry and Cucumber Superfood Balm* to try.

The balm has multi uses. It can be used on dry, chapped skin; knees, heels, elbows or cuticles. It can also be used on flyaway hair or to tame eyebrows, as an overnight treatment or warmed as a massage oil.

I have been using this as a treatment for my dry hands, as my hands are really showing signs of ageing. I also suffer from dry cuticles too. I’ve used many ‘hand treatments’ over the years, but after the first few times of using them, they tend to get lost at the back of the draw. However, I’m already nearly finished this pot.

The balm itself is a very soft consistency and includes raspberry, cucumber and sunflower seed oils. It melts into my hands. I have used it at least once a day since receiving this (usually before bed), concentrating on the back of my hands and cuticles. I scoop out some balm with my finger and spend plenty of time working it into my hands and nails. At first it is a little greasy on the skin, but after massaging well, it does sink in.

Not only does the skin on my hands look and feel better, but my nails are in the best condition they have been in for a long time. I don’t know whether I can credit this Superfood Balm to my nail health too, but I think I have found a new beauty hero!
