The Self Tan Lotion comes in a generous sized 200ml bottle which will last me all summer. This is the first certified organic self tan in the UK and is lightly scented with essential oils.
The cream is easy to apply and absorbs quickly into the skin with the tan developing after 3-4 hours. I like to apply after having a bath and before bed so I wake up looking like I’ve spent a weekend in St Tropez! This does develop into quite a dark tan, so I prefer to apply it by adding a small amount to a body moisturiser and build my tan gradually. It’s far easier to add colour than take it away.
This has even won over my (hard to impress) daughter. She has fair skin and started to use this last week. She really looks likes she’s been on holiday. The shade of tan is very natural – with not a hint of orange.
I’ve found finding a natural/organic self tanning lotion really hard. I’ve tried a couple and they’ve just not worked as well as I would have liked. This is up there with my favourite ‘mainstream’ self tan. In fact, I’d go as far as to say, this is the best self tan I’ve used. A bold statement, I know!
It’s lasted really well, faded evenly and I’m now ready to get my legs out!
Although I’m sure I could use the Self Tan Lotion on my face, I prefer to use a specific facial self tan. I am really conscious of sun damage to my skin and try to keep my face out of the sun whenever possible. I do, however, like the sun-kissed look. Step forward Green People’s Gradual Tan Moisturiser.
This does exactly what it says on the tin! It is more subtle than the Self Tan Lotion, which helps to eliminate any mistakes. Used over a few days, it develops into a natural looking tan. I have been applying this before bed too and must admit I was a little scared to look in the mirror in the morning in case something had gone wrong! I need not have worried, as, as I mentioned, it is a very gradual tan and needs to be used daily to build a natural looking tan. This looks and feels more like a serum than a moisturiser and does leave my face feeling a little tight after applying.
Green People’s Oy! range has been developed with teen skin in mind. I bought this for my daughter to try. Although, she is not yet convinced of the benefits of natural and organic beauty, this has been an absolute winner!
She has had so many people comment on how tanned she looks and have asked if she’s been on holiday. It does look really good on her. She is usually quite pale and fake tanning can be problematic. I think Green People may just have found a new customer!
She has used this every day for over a week now and there are not tell-tale signs of faking it!
