NATURAL MAKEUP | SUMMER BRONZE EYE

organic makeup, green beauty, natural makeup, green makeup

I have phases of wearing my make-up a certain way. I tend to wear a particular look for a few weeks before moving on to something else. At the moment I have a thing for a bronze eye. It’s a great look for summer and looks great with all eye colours.

My love for the bronze eye all started when I brought home the Pacifica Beauty Eye Lining Gel in Anchor and discovered as well as an eyeliner, it also did a great job as a ‘cream shadow’. After applying Anchor along my lash line (no need to be neat here), I then blend out well with a brush. You do need to be quick here before the gel starts to dry and set. Depending on the look I’m going for, I build up more colour where I want it.

I then add some Avril Cosmetics shadow in Or Venetian to my lid, concenentraing on the inner third of my eye. This does look very bright, but when it’s all blended together it adds to the look. Avril’s Desert is the perfect highlight shade and I use this in the inner corner. I’m also using a gorgeous metalic brown from Living Nature, I can’t find the name but is number 0486. I like to use this from the centre to the outer corner of my eye for a subtle shimmer.

For added drama I push Zao Organic Pencil Eyeliner in black along my lash line. This certainly gives ‘conventional’ liners a run for their money.

I finish off with a couple of coats of black mascara. I’m reaching for W3LL People’s Expressionist mascara at the moment, but also love Lily Lolo for this look (see my natural mascara picks here).

This make-up works well for daytime, but can also be vamped up for an evening look.

I pinned down my daughter (literally!) and made up one eye in record time to try and give you an idea of what this combination looks like as I always fail to take a decent photo of myself, although this does look equally good on a more mature eye!
