I originally bought this Weleda Aknedoron Cleansing Lotion made with natural ingredients for my daughter as it is most suitable to her skin type.
Unfortunately, the first time she used this she managed to get some solution into her eye. She told me she genuinely felt she was blind in her eye and thought to herself at least she still had one working eye! She said it was a hundred times worse than getting shampoo in your eye and gave it a 10 out of 10 for pain! Needless to say, it was promptly returned to me!
Although I wouldn’t have chosen this for myself, as it’s recommended for problem skin, I decided to give it a try and surprisingly, I love it! I’ve been using it as part of my morning skincare routine – making sure not to get it anywhere near my eyes! I soak a cotton pad in the solution and wipe over my face. It feels so cooling and refreshing. It reminds me a little of a milder version of Clinque’s Clarifying Lotion, although doesn’t leave the skin feeling stripped at all. I definitely wouldn’t use this to remove make-up, but think it’s perfect for a morning cleanse, or even to freshen up with on a hot day if you’re not wearing any make-up.
You can tell it includes essential oils (orange, grapefruit, lavender and rosemary) as my skin is not desperate for moisturiser after I’ve used it. I will often use this before I go to the gym in the morning just on it’s own, before coming back and showering.

I am already half way through the bottle and given how affordable it is and I can get it in my local health stores, I think this will be a regular part of my skincare routine.
Have you tied Aknedoron Cleansing Lotion, or anything else from the Weleda range?
