WHAT I’VE LOVED IN AUGUST

I haven’t done a ‘What I’ve Loved in….’ post for a little while now. I found that some months I just didn’t have enough content and I didn’t want to force anything, therefore, I stopped. However, August has definitely been a month of favourites for me. This is what I’ve been loving.

 Mango Printed Flowy Shirt

I picked this up thinking it would be perfect for my American road trip holiday. I did wonder whether this was a bit ‘young’ for me as it’s quite cropped. I got so many compliments when I wore this, but the whole family on separate ocassions commented on how much they liked the shirt and how it really suited me. I’m not sure I’ll wear it as much now I’m home, but am sure it will be a staple in my summer holiday wardrobe from now on.

Hush Denim Shorts

I have lived in these throughout August. Because they are denim, you can wear them for days without them looking dirty (or is that just me)? Mine are bordering on too big for me, but because of that, they are so comfortable. They are also a great length; short, but not too short. I have two blue denim pairs and a black pair. The black pair can be dressed up with a shirt and heeled sandles, but look equally good with a t-shirt and flip flops.

 Sappho Paradigm Black Vegan Mascara

I bought this from the Detox Market when I was in LA. I was a little reluctant to try it as I already had a few absolute favourites and was not on the look out for a new mascara. Fast forward a few weeks and this mascara has stolen the top spot. It gives great definition, a decent amount of volume and most importantly for me, stays put.

Sappho Liquid Foundation

This is another product from The Detox Market and something I have worn on a daily basis. I feel it gives a little more coverage than some of my other natural foundations, yet still looks natural. It lasts really well, although it does leave my face feeling dry if I don’t moisturise really well before applying. I have shade Jennifer, which although technically a little dark for me, it somehow works well.

Love Hate Social Club Piercing

I had my ears pierced when I was 12, but haven’t worn earings for years and am pretty sure they are closed up now. I found myself in Love Hate Social Club on Saturday (don’t ask!) and as well as tattoos, they also do piercings and have the most gorgeous range of jewellery.

I love it so much and it actually didn’t hurt. I’m definitely going back for more!

NCLA Los Angeles Nude Nails

This is what I have been wearing on my nails this month. It is the perfect summery nude nail for me and so long wearing. I will be adding to my collection.

Green People OY! Soft Glow Gradual Tan

This is a favourite from my daughter. When I told her I was writing a favourites post, she said I had to include this. She says it is a gradual tan, at first it isn’t noticeable, but after a few days of application, you’re left with a gorgeous sun-kissed glow. As with all self tanners, washing hands thoroughly after using is essential! She’s asked if I can order another tube of this.
