MAKEUP | AUTUMN EYELINERS

Autumn is a great time to switch up your make-up routine. This can seem a daunting task. Where do you start? A coloured eyeliner could be the answer when you want to update your look.

It doesn’t have to be a dramatic change either (but do go for an electric blue if that takes your fancy)! My preference is for a subtle change on the classic black.

My current favourite has to be the Zao Organic Eyeliner in Plum. It’s long wearing and worn pushed into the lash line leaves a gorgeous hint of colour without being too obvious. Zao Organic is one of my favourite makeup brands. Gloworganicbrighton.co.uk stock a wide range of Zao products. I do need to point out that the colour of this liner is more vibrant when first applied then does tend to look less noticeable the longer it is worn. I find this to be the case with coloured mascaras I’ve tried too.

Other favourites include NatOrigin Eyeliner in Blue which was the first coloured eyeliner I tried. A blue liner works really well with brown eyes. This one is a purple-y/blue shade, perfect for subtle change from the classic black. NatOrigin also have a range of coloured mascaras that I’ve been tempted by too (available at LoveLula.com).

Although this PHB Ethical Beauty Eyeliner in Black* is called black, I’d say it is grey, which works equally well smudged all over the lid, as it does an eyeliner. I’ve only recently discovered PHB Ethical Beauty and have been particularly impressed with their eye shadow range (available at LoveLula.com), which also work as an eyeliner when used with a wet brush.

Ok, so I’m cheating slightly including this in a ‘coloured eyeliner’ post including this Avril Cosmetics Eye Pencil in Brown , however, brown is a great choice for the autumn months, giving a softer, more natural look to your makeup. I use this on my brows too and it’s an amazing £3.25! You can see more purse friendly products from Avril Cosmetics at Cosnatural.com.
