GREEN BEAUTY | WHAT’S IN MY TRAVEL BAG

I love seeing what others have in their little bags of beauty, here’s what I’ve been packing in mine recently.

Skincare

I keep it really simple when I travel, although I do wish I’d packed my Living Nature Gentle Make-up Remover to remove my mascara!

I bought the Oskia Merry and Bright Christmas cracker in the Black Friday sale for the generous travel sized Renaissance Cleansing Gel it contained (unfortunately, it’s no longer available). I’ve been a fan of Oskia’s Renaissance Cleansing Gel for a while now. It is an easy to use gel to oil formula which does an excellent job of cleansing and can be removed with warm water without the need for a cloth.

I rarely skip using a facial oil and have lots to choose from. I popped the Ooh! Oils of Heaven Organic Boabab Rejuvenating Face Oil which I received in September’s LoveLula Beauty box in to my bag. This works equally well as part of my evening and morning skincare routine.

I’ve almost come to the end of this sample size Evolve Beauty Daily Renew Natural Face Cream. It’s nourishing enough to use as a night cream, yet light enough to use in the morning too. It has some great ingredients for my mature skin, although I don’t love the vanilla and coconut scent.

This Bodhi & Birch Chinois Blue Body Oil brought a touch of luxury to my time away from home. I’m not great at using body products, but I really enjoyed using this on my recent trip away. As with all of Bodhi & Birch products, not only does this nourish the skin, it also smells divine!

Make-Up

The make-up I packed are my current go-to products. Easy to use to create either a natural or evening look.

For my base, this lightweight bottle of Sappho Cosmetics Liquid Foundation is perfect for travelling. I know I am so nearly coming to the end of this and am nervous whenever I use it in case nothing comes out!

The Zao Makeup Organic Concealer is also a great travelling companion. I use a little of this on areas which need brightening.

I have two blushes in my bag, the Tata Harper Lip & Cheek Tint which is perfect for a natural flush of colour (although this doesn’t last very long) and my current go-to powder blusher from Jane Iredale. I also love a bit of glow and you can’t go wrong with RMS Beauty’s Living Luminizer.

I generally like to use a little powder and although not the most travel friendly, I packed the Living Nature Luminous Powder in Medium. I’ve almost ‘hit pan’ with this and would seriously consider repurchasing. It’s hardly detectable on the skin and helps give some luminosity to the skin.

My all time favourite eye shadow palette is this one from Dr Hauschka – it’s perfect for me. You can achieve anything with this palette, from a natural day time look to full on glamour!

Green People’s Volumising Mascara in black is ‘the bomb’! One coat achieves a natural effect, two (or even three) coats gives a more dramatic look. I find this doesn’t smudge or flake and can highly recommend.

I always use Pacifica’s Stunning Brows, a clear gel to keep my brows in order. It doesn’t leave your brows crispy, but, on the other hand, they don’t stay in place for long!

As you can see, my Jane Iredale Lip Liner in Spice has seen a lot of love! In fact, almost everything in the photo is coming to an end – true favourites! This Lily Lolo Lip Gloss is probably well past it’s best, but it’s the perfect nude (and ‘tastes’ of chocolate)!

I did also have my Zao Makeup Pencil Liner in black, but this missed the photo shoot!

Accessories

I brought four make-up brushes and some eyelash curlers with me; an eyeshadow brush, smudge brush, blending brush and a blusher brush. All from my make-up artist days.

I hope you’ve enjoyed a rummage through my travel beauty bag (which is from Zucca, also from my make-up artist days). I like to use a transparent bag when travelling as it makes it easy to see what I’ve brought with me.
