eye polish, swift shadow, magic luminizer, rms beauty, green beauty

I’ve found myself really enjoying this trio from RMS Beauty recently. The Eye Polish in Myth was one of the first things I bought when I switched to using only natural make-up. Although I loved the look this gave when first applied (natural, brighter eye lids), I found it disappeared very quickly, so it began to gather dust at the back of my make-up draw. That is, until┬áRMS Beauty launched Swift Shadow. A collection of 18, light reflective, powder shadows in neutral(ish) shades. Unlike the Eye Polish, these are long lasting and as with all of RMS Beauty’s products, they are made with quality ingredients that nourish the skin.

After reading rave reviews, I decided to try a shade (or two) for myself. I have went for a couple of greys from the Twilight Madness range and this one in Tempting Touch (TT-71) which is a subtle bronze/brown which I have found to be perfect for layering on top of the Eye Polish in Myth.

I apply Myth with my fingers, keeping it to my lid area only before patting the shadow on top with an eye shadow brush (although, I often apply this with my fingers too). I then use a blending brush to take the shadow into the socket line.. For a little added luminosity, I like to dab Magic Luminizer on to the center of my lids. Of course, you can then use the Magic Luminizer on your cheekbones too!

This combination works well with my brown eyes (it would also look stunning with blues eyes). I finish the look with a black liner pushed into my lashes and black mascara. I have tried to photograph this look, but have failed (after 100 attempts). A close up of ageing eyes is not very flattering!

Have you tried any RMS Eye Polishes or Swift Shadows? What are your favourites?
