Regular readers of my blog will know that Botanicals is one of my all time favourite brands. I particularly love their Nourish Cleanse Melt and Nourish Face Balm and almost always have one these on the go.
I recently ran out of both a facial exfoliator and almost all of my cleansing balms (post coming soon), so choosing this Botanicals Cleanse & Polish (£24)* seemed an obvious choice.
I was a little apprehensive, it had a lot to live up to! However, I knew from the very first use that this was not going to disappoint. It is the perfect combination of a soft, nourishing balm with exfoliating particles from crushed rosehip kernel – not a micro bead in sight!
The texture of this reminds me a little of the Antipodes Reincarnation Exfoliator (which is one of my all time favourites). It is a joy to use. It melts on the skin, with just the right amount of abrasion to slough away any dead skin cells, leaving my face feeling clean, moisturised and (hopefully) brighter.
Although suggested usage is once a week, I could happily use this every day. I like to spend time massaging it into my skin (a little goes a long way), before removing with a warm, damp flannel. You will need to use a separate eye makeup remover, as you don’t want this too near your eyes.
This is recommended for normal, dry and mature skin (you may want to try Botanical’s Gentle Face Polish if you have combination or sensitive skin). Another 5* product from Botanicals in my opinion.
