Terre Verdi Skincare

I have been singing the praises of Terre Verdi skincare over recent months, so thought it was about time I put pen to paper (well, you know what I mean), and write a review.

I was first introduced to Terre Verdi and founder Alessandra at the Gorgeously Green Gathering in September (you can read all about that here). Sicilian born Alessandra who goes by the motto ’embrace the planet, embrace yourself’, explained the importance of using only natural and organic ingredients and strong family values (the Terre Verdi logo is the family crest). You can read Alessandra’s full story here.

I am always left feeling inspired after hearing creators of brands talk about their passion and this occasion was no different. As part of the day, Alessandra helped us create our own bottle of Good Oils Cleansing Oil to take home and try. I managed to put Sasha’s in my bag too and still feel guilty – I hope you’ve had a chance to try this Sasha!

After using my (two) sample bottles, I was left in no doubt that Terre Verdi was something special.

The GoodOils Cleansing Oil has a thicker texture than most cleansing oils I’ve tried and makes light work of removing make-up and dirt. I like to use a good few pumps, massaging well into my skin. If I have time, I leave the oil on my skin for a few minutes before removing with a flannel soaked in warm water.

I usually use a separate eye make-up remover when cleansing, but I don’t feel the need to when using this. I massage over my (closed) eyelids and it get rids of all traces of mascara. In fact, I will use this as an eye make-up remover even if I’m not using it to cleanse with. The real seal of approval comes from my wipe loving daughter, who gave this a big thumbs up!

It is made with 99% organic ingredients which is fantastic and is also suitable for vegans. In fact, I believe all Terre Verdi’s products are vegan.

I was left wanting to try more from the Terre Verdi range and subsequently bought the Acqua Di Rosa Balancing Mist. This rose flower water is a great must multi-use product. It has a beautiful, delicate scent and the perfect ‘spritz’ which is so important to me. It can make or break a product! I use it after cleansing and before applying a serum, oil or moisturiser. I spritz on my face throughout the day to freshen up and I also like to use it to dampen my make-up sponge or a makeup brush before using to blend my foundation. It’s possibly the best facial mist I have used.

I was also intrigued by the Argan Shea Multi Cream and added that to my basket. This has more of a balm-like texture than a cream. I have been using this as an overnight mask, warming the ‘balm’ between my fingers before pressing on to my face. This has won multiple awards and has some great (99% organic) ingredients, including argan oil, vitamin E and neroli. You only need to use a little, so a pot will last a long time. As it says on the pot this is multi-use. You can use it on any area of dryness – it’s not just for your face.

When I received my order, Alessandra kindly included a bottle of Neroli Pom moisturiser* and I’m so glad she did! I have really struggled to find a holy grail every day moisturiser. This ticks all the boxes for me. It is a no nonsense, easily absorbed simple moisturiser. The Neroli Pom moisturiser feels fresh on my skin and is lightweight making it ideal to use before make-up. It has a beautiful, subtle scent of neroli. I’m not keen on overly scented skincare, this has a perfect balance for me. Like all of Terre Verdi’s products this is made with 100% simple, natural and organic ingredients.

If you are new to green beauty or are looking to switch up your current skincare routine, I can highly recommend Terre Verdi. It works perfectly for my normal/dry mature skin, but has also gone down well with my teenage daughter! Alessandra is offering 15% discount to readers of What I Love Today x with the code WOMEN.
