With holiday season almost upon us, I thought I’d share the makeup I took on holiday with me recently.
I really pare down my skincare and make-up routine when I’m on holiday and just take basics with me. I’m actually a bit of a slob on holiday.
The photo above is all the make-up I took with me to Thailand last month, and actually, I often had days where I didn’t use it all (much to my daughter’s horror)!
I knew this W3LL People Bio Tint Multi Action Moisturiser (£28) would be perfect summer holiday makeup. I have shade Light which is a little darker than my normal skin tone, but works beautifully when my face has a little more colour to it. It very light weight which is my preference in a hot climate as well as being moisturising.
Just before I left, I was sent some make-up goodies from Benecos to try. Benecos is an affordable natural make-up brand, that, for some reason, had passed me by. This Natural Bronze Duo* (£6.95) is ideal for your holiday make-up bag and is amazing value at just £6.95. I have shade Ibiza Nights and either use the blush and bronzer separately, or swirl my brush over both shades for an all over sun-kissed glow.
I think Sappho’s Paradigm Mascara in black is my all time favourite mascara. It gives plenty of definition as well as withstands humidity. I wish it was available in the UK.
Jane Iredale’s PureBrow Brow Gel (£16) is a relatively new discovery for me. I have it in shade Brunette and use it on a daily basis to keep my brows looking well groomed. I have written a full review on this here.
I love a multi-use product when travelling and RMS Beauty’s Magic Luminizer* (£30) ticks that box. I like to dab this on my eyelids as well as using as a highlighter on the tops of my cheekbones. It even works well on lips either before or after lipstick. A great summer holiday pick!
Green People’s newly launched Damask Rose Velvet Matte Lipstick* (£15) is a must have for summer. It is a universally flattering nude shade with impressive staying power. I either wear this on it’s own or with a little Lily Lolo Natural Lip Gloss (£8.50) in shade Clear on top. I really like the Lily Lolo lip glosses. There’s lots of shades to choose from and they aren’t too expensive at £8.50.
What are your holiday make-up ‘must haves’?
