My skin definitely looks it’s best with a summer glow. Whether that’s natural or with a little help from some carefully chosen makeup.
I have been adding this Dr Hauschka Translucent Bronzing Tint* (£28.50) to my base products for some time now. It has quickly become an essential part of my summer makeup kit. Although the colour is initially alarming, it is blends to leave a healthy bronze glow to your skin. I prefer to use it by adding a drop to whatever base I am using. One drop is the perfect amount for a natural sun-kissed effect. I have written a full review of this over on the LoveLula Blog, so be sure to go and check that out.
Juice Beauty Cellular CC Cream
SPF is an essential part of my summer skincare/makeup routine. I had been using (and loving) Green People’s Facial Sun Screen. However, I have found myself reaching for this Juice Beauty Stem Cellular CC Cream (£41, Natural Glow). Although it didn’t win me over as a CC cream, I have loved using it as a sun screen. It has an SPF 30 and feels like I am using skincare. It does not leave my skin feeling dry, which I some times find with other specific facial sun screens and is perfect to use with the Dr Hauschka Translucent Bronzing Tint.
Jane Iredale Disappear Concealer
Jane Iredale Disappear Concealer (£25, Medium) is a new purchase for me. I’ve been really impressed with the Jane Iredale products I’ve tried so far and had heard good things about this concealer. Always on the look out for new products to try, I picked this up from my local beauty salon. I actually went in to replace my Jane Iredale BB Cream that my daughter has now claimed and came out with this as well. I have only been using this for a couple of days, but it has left me impressed! It has full coverage along with great staying power, yet still looks natural. There are are only five shades to choose from and they are quite pricey at £25, but so far, I am loving this (in fact, I know my daughter will too – I will have to hide it from her)!
I hope you enjoyed my summer skin recommendations, which I think would suit most skin types. Let me know what your favourites are.
