During the summer months it’s all about the bronze for me! A bronze eye is the perfect choice for any eye colour. You can keep it simple with a wash of colour or glam it up with a full on bronze smokey eye.
Here are my current favourite products to create a bronze eye.
This is what I turn to if I want to create a more intense smokey eye. Although it is technically an eye lining gel, I use this as a cream shadow. You can easily build up the intensity. A little goes a long way, but you do need to work quickly to blend as it dries pretty quickly. There is a subtle gold simmer in this shadow, which, at first, I thought I wouldn’t like, but find it helps with the summer vibes and is not too obvious.
The Pacifica Smolder Eye Lining Gel has great staying power, which is often something of a problem with regular ‘cream’ shadows.
The only eye shadow in this collection, the RMS Beauty Swift Shadow leaves a beautiful soft bronze sheen to the eye lid. This is a perfect choice for a subtle day time look. It has a satin finish which helps to illuminate the eye and the soft, buttery texture makes it a dream to blend. I often just use my finger to apply this. It’s not the longest lasting shadow I’ve used, but still a favourite of mine.
As the title suggests, this is a kajal and is technically an eye liner. I do use this to line my eyes, but I also like to smudge it over my lid for an easy bronze eye look. I think this is the one for you if you’re unsure of how to wear/apply eye makeup. It is pretty fool proof – just swipe and go!
The colour is far less intense when smudged than the Pacifica Gel Liner, but unlike Pacifica it is softer and easy to blend. I have been using this all over my lid as well as finishing off using it as an eye liner along my upper lashes.
I have been so impressed with this Soul Tree Kajal* that I want to try more. The only problem is – am I brave enough?! Copper Tint is definitely the most ‘wearable’ shade for me.
This RMS Beauty Cream Eye Polish in shade Myth gives such a pretty, sheer, metalic ‘glow’ to your eye lids. I really love the brightening effect this gives to my eyes. I often wear this with the Swift Shadow on top as, like most cream shadows, this does not have great staying power on it’s own.
Made with nourishing ingredients such as coconut oil and jojoba seed oil, this also works as a treatment for your eyes too!
That was my round up of my current favourite products to help create a bronze eye look. Do you have a favourite?
