My Most Used Skincare

skincare, natural beautyCleanser

My current preferred way to cleanse is by using a cleansing balm. I have used (and loved) lots, however, recently I have been reaching for either Lyonsleaf’s Beauty Balm or MOA’s Green Balm. Both are soft balms that melt into the skin removing dirt and makeup, including mascara. After massaging in, I remove with a flannel soaked in warm water. I will often massage a small amount of balm onto my face and leave overnight.

Facial Spritz

Although, if I’m honest, I’m not sure of the benefit this gives me, I enjoy using a facial spritz after cleansing and before using a serum. My current favourite is Evolve’s Daily Defence Moisture Mist.

I have two serums on the go at the moment: Mad Hippie’s Vitamin C Serum and Evolve Beauty’s Hyaluronic Serum. I don’t have any particular skin issues (apart from it ageing), but like to look at these serums almost like insurance. I have done some research on serums (you can read my post What Is A Serum?) and prefer to use a water based one. I use this after cleansing and before a facial oil.

Facial Oil

A facial oil is a must for me. The one I currently find myself reaching for is the Lyonsleaf Marshmallow Soften and Rejuvenate Facial Oil (sorry to keep banging on about this!) I find it light enough to wear under my makeup, but still nourishing enough to keep my skin feeling moisturised. I have some new oils which I am trying out and am hoping they’ll give this some competition!

I’ve alternated between the Nourish Kale Enzymatic Exfoliating Cleanser and the Pai Skincare Rosehip Bioregenerate Rapid Radiance Mask . Both help towards achieving a more radiant complexion, but I find the Pai Rapid Radiance Mask more moisturising.

Most of the above are nearly empty so I am already searching for my next favourites!  What are you currently loving?
