LoveLula March Beauty Box

beauty box, lovelula, natural beauty

I have been receiving the LoveLula monthly beauty box as part of the LoveLula Accredited Blogger Scheme (see disclaimer for more info) for quite some time now. I don’t think there’s ever been a box where I haven’t enjoyed using at least one of the products and on many occasions I have discovered new favourites.

A beauty box subscription is something you subscribe to on a regular basis (although you are able to buy ‘one off’ boxes with LoveLula). If you’re new to green beauty it is a great way to try out a variety of products each month. The prices for the LoveLula beauty boxes are as follows:

You don’t know in advance what will be in the box, so there is an element of risk involved. You will find some months are better for you than others.

I think I’d be correct in saying that there is always at least one full size product in the box (there are three in this month’s box) and any sample sizes tend to be generous. The boxes contain a variety of products such as skincare, bodycare, makeup, nail polish or hair care and are always worth considerably more than the monthly cost.

March’s box gets a big thumbs up from me. I generally get an ‘ooh’ moment when I open a box. This month there were a few of those!

Sukin Purifying Shampoo & Nourishing Conditioner (links for full sized product)

I’m always happy to see sensible size samples. I don’t know about you, but I just can’t be bothered faffing with one use samples – especially for shampoo and conditioner. I haven’t used this hair care duo yet (I’m tempted to keep them to take on holiday with me), but I am familiar with the reasonably priced Australian brand. I will let you know what I think.

Glossworks Nail Polish

I can’t resist a nude nail. It’s my go-to shade, therefore I was very excited to see LoveLula’s own brand Glosswork in shade Come Clay with Me in this month’s box; the perfect shade of pink for spring. I couldn’t resist painting it straight on to a nail (it’s still going strong 3 days later): it certainly lives up to it’s name in that it is gorgeously glossy!

Elsa’s Organic Skinfoods, Ocean Deodorant

This was an ‘ooh’ moment as I’d heard so many good things about this deodorant over on the LoveLula Natural Beauty Club Facebook page. I did find it dragged my skin quite a bit when applying and it does have quite a strong lingering scent. However, I’m very happy with the performance – it’s up with their with my current favourite (Neal’s Yard) in terms of performance.

Laidbare Guess My Age Anti-Ageing Treatment Cream

I’m always happy to find something from Laidbare in the monthly box (they do pop up quite regularly!) I have a feeling this (full size) Guess My Age Anti-Ageing Cream is new to the the Laidbare range. Another great value every day skincare brand and one I would happily recommend (their Pack Your Bags Eye Cream is a favourite of mine). I obviously haven’t had time to comment on any ‘anti-ageing miracles’, but have used it a couple of times as a night cream and it seems a nice, rich (without being too heavy), moisturising cream.

FOM Hydra Bright Night Complex Treatment (link for full sized product)

I was first introduced to the FOM range through the LoveLula Beauty boxes. FOM London’s products are a blend of science and nature, specifically to target the harmful effects of pollution. I haven’t tried this (sample size) Hydra Bright Night Complex Treatment yet, but as I invest a lot of time (and money!) to my evening skincare routine and am looking forward to seeing how this performs.
