I was going to write about the Ilia Serum Foundation today, however, I am currently using a skincare duo that has got me so excited I wanted to share them with you!
There’s usually at least one product in the LoveLula monthly Beauty Box that is a hit with me; April’s beauty box contained two. (Although I receive the Beauty Boxes free of charge, I am under no obligation to write a review. Please be assured that any reviews I do write, regardless whether I have paid for the product or not, is my honest opinion. I do not accept sponsored or paid posts, or even include affiliate links).
I often mix my skincare prducts together to create something bespoke to me, which is exactly what I am doing with the Balm Balm Little Miracle Rosehip Balm and the Dr Botanicals Coffee Superfood Renewing Facial Exfoliator. I don’t usually spend much time on my morning skincare, however, I have found myself using (and loving) this duo on a daily basis.
I do like to exfoliate my face, as it helps to rid the skin of dead skin cells (which tend to hang around for longer when you get older), which leaves a more radiant, dare I say it, more youthful complexion. The Dr Botanicals Coffee Superfood Renewing Facial Exfoliator really feels like it’s working on my skin.
I wasn’t awre of the benefits of using coffee in my skincare. Apparantly it’s a really good antioxidant and anti-inflamatory ingredient. This scrub is made with coffee oil which is high in antioxidants along with fatty acids that nourish and protect this skin. I have been using it on dry skin (it is recommend to use this on wet skin), applying a little at a time, targetting specific areas such as my forehead, around my nose and chin. I then follow this by massageing the Balm Balm Little Miracle Rosehip Balm all over my face – without washing the exfoliator off, therefore creating an exfoliating balm.
Regular readers will know I love a balm! This balm is gorgeous and is perfect for mature skin with the regenerating properties of rosehip. It melts on the skin, turning to an oil making it perfect for facial massage. It’s also a very affordable £12.00.
If time allows, I will leave this on my skin (I often do the school run with it still on my face). By the time I come to take it off, using a warm damp flannel, most of the exfoliating granules have disolved and my skin feels incredibly nourished and soft.
I’ve also been using the Balm Balm balm(!) applied sparingly, as a nourishing overnight treatment. LoveLula have offered readers an exclusive 25% off Balm Balm (expires 18 May), which would make the Little Miracle Rosehip Balm only £9.00. Simply add code CJW25 at checkout.
These two skincare products have made their way right to the top of my new favourites list! What’s at the top of yours?
