This was a very easy post for me to write as I have been reaching for these five makeup products on a daily basis over the past month.
I’m surprised this isn’t talked about more. I feel it deserves more credit than it gets. I’d describe it as a hybrid between a bronzing tint and a tinted moisturiser. It is incredibly light on the skin and leaves a slightly bronzed luminous glow – what’s not to like?
This is a repurchase for me and a product that I only use during the summer months. It comes in three shades – Dawn Glow, Day Glow and Evening Glow (I use Day Glow). It can be used in multiple ways; as a base, added to your moisturiser or applied as you would a bronzer where the sun would naturally catch your face.
I received this eye pencil in a LoveLula Beauty box earlier this year. If I’m honest, I doubted it’s ability to perform and left it untouched for some time. I have always struggled to find an eyeliner that stays put.
However, once I did give this a go, I have used nothing else since! It performs really well – I like to use it pushed into my lash line to subtly define my lashes. I normally go for a black liner, but love the softer look this rich brown shade gives.
When I first got this, I was a little underwhelmed with it, preferring to use the (cheaper) PHB Ethical Beauty mascara (until it ran out) and couldn’t find my other favourite Inika mascara. Therefore, I was slightly forced to use this. I’m so glad I was, as it’s really grown on me. I’d still recommend the PHB or Inika masacara over this, but it has been what I’ve been using and is great for a more natural look.
I love this SoulTree Kajal! The rich copper shade is so flattering and really helps to make my eyes stand out. It is also incredibly easy to use. For a daytime look I simply rub really close to my lash line and smudge any harsh line with my finger. For a more dramatic look, I will smudge over my entire lid as well as my top and bottom lash line; it takes seconds to do.
If you’re not confident using makeup or looking for a quick and easy update to your summer makeup bag, then this could be the one for you!
It’s been a very long time since a lipstick has excited me. I tend to use a lip liner all over my lips instead of a lipstick. However, this has really impressed me and I’ve found myself using it daily. Sway is the perfect, fresh summer shade for me and feels so comfortable on my lips. As is often the case with more creamy lipsticks, it doesn’t last too long, but I still love it! I’m very tempted to try more from the range.
